CHARACTERISTICS OF FIRST SEXUAL INTERCOURSE AMONG SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN SLOVENIA

Abstract. The article presents data on the social characteristics of first sexual intercourse (FSI) among secondary school students in Slovenia, collected as part research project “Sexuality Secondary School Students Slovenia”. results show that for most respondents their FSI was a planned event occurring within an intimate partnership. Protective measures are used to considerable extent. There statistically significant gender differences majority results. responsible behaviour during FSI, although share is exposed sexually transmitted infections (STIs). may be policy decision-makers, especially terms sex education and addressing STI issue.
